Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program is now extended to the higher secondary level.  Students of classes 6th to 12th will also get a quarterly education stipend. According to the details, the Benazir Income Support Program Board has formally approved the inclusion of intermediate first-year and second-year students in the Wasila Education Program.

Under Benazri Taleemi Wazaif, the board also approved a stipend of Rs 4000 per quarter for boys and Rs 45,00 per person for first-year and second-year girls. Matric students will also be provided PKR: 3000 quarterly stipends. All deserving students from primary to class 12 will be given scholarships every quarter. A stipend of Rs. 3,000 will be given as a graduation stipend after completing primary.

• Primary: 2500/-
• Secondary/Matric: 3500/-
• Higher Secondary/Intermediate: 4500/- 

For Boys

• Primary: 2000/-
• Secondary/Matric: 3000/-
• Higher Secondary/Intermediate: 4000/-

Students registered under Benazir Taleemi Wazaif cash transfers are required to maintain minimum attendance as required by the program policies. The purpose of the condition is that students remain school-bound and feel responsible for their education. Wzaif may be discontinued if the student is unable to maintain the minimum attendance.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA of Benazir Taleemi Wazaif:

 The eligibility criteria for enrollment of children in the Benazir TaleemiWazaif program are as under:

 Children of active BISP Kafalat Beneficiary

• For Primary Education: 4-12 years of age
• For Secondary Education: 8-18 years of age
• For Higher Secondary Education: 13-22 years of age

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Enrollment Process:

The students are required to be admitted to a school/college anywhere in Pakistan. The student has to visit the enrolment camp/field offices along with her child with the following documents to enroll him/her in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program:

·         CNIC of the beneficiary;

·         B-form/CRC issued by NADRA;

·         School/College admission slip containing information of class, and school/college name verified by the teacher.

B-form/CRC verification through the NADRA database is mandatory for the enrollment of the child in the program.

Since the inception of the program, 12.01 Million children have been enrolled. Education level-wise breakup is given below:

Since the inception of the program to date, BISP has disbursed Rs.63.34 Billion under Benazir TaleemiWazaif.
